Grace: an undeserved, unmerited, unearned gift. I know grace. It is as personal to me as my middle name and yet it is as unfathomable as God’s love. Grace is made evident in the troubled times. My middle name is used when there is trouble, and I know it. The grace of God is most clearly displayed when I least deserve it, even so that is when I know it best. God's grace is revealed through His goodness.
A Capture of Grace is an image combining Scripture and a photograph for a purpose. That purpose is to glorify God and to encourage others. My senior graduation project is titled Captures of Grace because it reflects my purpose. As an art and ministry intern at Sun Loft Studio, my goal was to see if Captures of Grace was a realistic ministry idea and if it was something I wanted to pursue. Through my internship I experienced God’s goodness and grace in life-changing ways. My eyes have been opened to the glory of God and His grace is sufficient to meet my every need. As I continue to make Captures of Grace images for the glory of God, “I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” (Psalm 27:13)
